TeklTalk vs CustomGPT: same idea, very different price tag
These two products argue for the same thing. Both index content you own, answer from it, cite the source, and decline to invent an answer when nothing matches. If you have read our homepage and theirs, you have read roughly the same pitch twice.
What differs is scale and who is expected to pay. CustomGPT's entry plan is $99/month for 1,000 queries, 10 agents and 3 seats, with a content ceiling of 60 million words. TeklTalk's Starter is $19/month for 4,000 messages and unlimited projects, with 1,000 content credits — roughly 500,000 words.
So: they hold far more content than we can, and we answer far more questions per dollar than they do. Which of those two ceilings you hit first is the entire decision.

Where TeklTalk wins
Twenty times the questions for a fifth of the price
At the entry tier the arithmetic is not close: $0.005 a message against $0.099 a query. Both units mean one question and one answer. If your site asks fewer than a thousand questions a month, CustomGPT's Standard plan costs $99 to answer them and TeklTalk's Starter costs $19.
You can try it without a card
CustomGPT's trial is seven days and asks for a credit card at signup. TeklTalk's free plan asks for an email address, runs indefinitely, and is the same crawler and retrieval the paid tiers use. Index a real site and see what it answers before deciding anything.
Unlimited projects, including on Free
Every plan runs as many sites as you like, with the allowance shared across them rather than divided. For an agency or anyone with more than one site, that is a structurally different offer from a per-agent count.
No badge on any paid plan
Removing CustomGPT's branding requires the $499/month Premium tier. Here it is gone from $19/month.
Where CustomGPT wins
Content capacity, by a very long way
60 million words on their entry plan against roughly 500,000 on ours. If you have a large documentation estate, a research archive, or thousands of documents to index, we are simply the wrong size of tool and this is not a gap we close by arguing.
More ways to get content in
Their connector list is wider than our sitemap, URL list, pasted text and four file formats. If your content lives in systems rather than on web pages, check their list against ours before assuming a crawl will reach it.
Teams
They sell seats; we have one login per account with no roles and no per-user permissions. If more than one person needs their own access, that is a real limitation of ours.
An enterprise motion
Custom Enterprise terms, larger ceilings, and the procurement paperwork that goes with them. Our security page lists what we have not done, and for a buyer with a compliance checklist that list is the answer.
Bottom line
Choose TeklTalk if your content fits comfortably inside a few hundred thousand words and you want the questions answered cheaply, predictably, and without a credit card to find out whether it works.
Choose CustomGPT if you have far more content than a website — a large documentation estate or a document archive — or if you need multiple team seats and connectors beyond crawling and uploads.
Index your site and see for yourself
The Free plan is the same crawler, the same cited answers, and the same one-line install as every paid tier — just with lower ceilings.
