Answers from this site
Hi! Ask me anything about this site.
One workflow, start to finish
Every visitor question runs the same path — and either ends in a sourced answer, or a ticket your team can see.
Grounded answers
Every answer comes from your own content, not the open internet.
Honest escalation
If it can't answer, it says so — and hands the question to your team.
Continuous improvement
Every unanswered question shows you what your website is missing.
But your visitors still ask
Every question below is already answered somewhere on a typical site — in a policy page, a pricing FAQ, a product spec. The answer just isn't reachable from a chat box.
TeklDesk answers them from your website, so your team doesn't have to.

- Knowledge bases
Everything a site chatbot should do, and nothing it shouldn't
No prompt engineering, no training data to assemble, no hallucinated pricing. Your pages are the knowledge base.
Learns from your sitemap
Hand over one sitemap URL and every page gets read and understood automatically — including pages built with JavaScript that most tools miss.
One line to install
A single script tag, kept fully isolated from your site's own styles — so it never clashes with your design.
Answers that cite sources
Every reply links back to the pages it came from, so visitors can verify the answer and you can see what your bot is reading.
Matches your brand
Set the name, color, launcher icon, and corner. Text contrast is derived automatically, so a pale brand color still reads.
Says “I don't know”
If your website doesn't have the answer, it tells your visitor honestly — instead of guessing or making something up.
Every conversation stored
Threads persist per visitor. See what people actually ask — usually the fastest roadmap you'll ever get.
No source. No answer.
TeklDesk doesn't search the internet for something that sounds right. It checks your content first, and if nothing matches, it says so instead of guessing — which is the part that decides whether you can put it in front of customers.
It checks before it answers
Your question is checked against your content first. If nothing matches closely enough, it stops right there — there's nothing left for it to improvise from.
So every answer has a page behind it
When there is a match, the reply carries the pages it came from. When there isn't, there are no sources shown — because there aren't any. The absence is the honest signal.
The threshold is a number you control per widget, and so is the message a visitor gets instead. Every question that lands below it is recorded, which is where the next section starts.

Answers from this site
Hi! Ask me anything about this site.
A full support inbox, not just a chat fallback
An inbox and board, canned replies, two-way email and an audit trail in every ticket. Run your whole support flow here, with nothing else to buy or configure.
Every channel, one inbox
Chat escalation, your hosted support page, a Slack button, or a ticket you log yourself for a phone call or a DM. Inbox list or drag-and-drop board, your choice.
Reply and set the status together
Send as Waiting on customer or Send as Resolved in one click. Priority runs from Low to Urgent, and the board shows Open through Resolved at a glance.
Canned replies your team shares
Type / to search and preview a reply with the customer's details filled in. Keep shared replies for the team and personal ones for yourself.
Two-way email with a paper trail
The visitor gets a normal email and can just reply. Each reply shows whether it was delivered, and every status change is logged in the ticket.
Internal notes keep your team's coordination away from the customer, and roles decide who can reply and who manages shared replies. It's a complete system on its own, so you can run your whole support flow through it and never touch a separate helpdesk. See how support works →

Not every visitor wants to chat, capture them anyway
A dedicated endpoint any form on your site can call, so contact-form submissions land in the same place as everything else.
| Page | Submissions |
|---|---|
| /tekldesk/pricing | 18 |
| /tekldesk/contact | 11 |
| /tekldesk/use-cases/ecommerce | 6 |
Illustrative example. Your own list starts filling up on day one.
Works with any form you already have
One endpoint, no API key, that any form on your site can post to — your existing contact form, a landing page, even a server. Nothing about the chat widget has to change.
Custom fields, no migration
Company, phone, plan interest — whatever your form collects rides along automatically. No schema to update on our end to capture a field you just added.
Every lead knows which page it came from
So you can see which pages are actually generating interest, not just how many submissions came in this month.
Every question becomes part of your roadmap
Every question your content couldn't answer is recorded, with how close the nearest page was. It is the shortest content backlog you'll ever be handed, and it's written by the people trying to buy from you.

| Can I migrate from Segment? | No matching content |
| What's the data retention period? | Chatbot declined |

The gaps, ranked by how often they're asked
Each one shows why it went unanswered, so you can tell a missing page apart from a page that exists but reads badly.
Which pages are actually load-bearing
The pages cited most often across every answer — worth knowing before you restructure a site or retire an article.
Told to you, not left to be found
Unanswered questions can be sent to you by email, Telegram or Slack as they happen, or batched into a weekly digest.

Three steps, one afternoon at most
You do the first step. The other two mostly do themselves.
Point it at your site
Paste your sitemap URL, or a hand-picked list of pages. We handle sitemap indexes too.
We crawl and index
We read every page — including ones built with JavaScript — and get it ready to answer questions from.
Drop in the script
Copy one line into your site's HTML. The widget is live, streaming answers from your own content.
One line of script. Live in minutes.
Paste it before your closing body tag. No npm package, no framework plugin, no build step — and it loads nothing until a visitor actually opens the chat.

Questions people ask before signing up
What kind of sites work?
Almost any website — marketing sites, documentation, help centers, and online stores all work, including modern, JavaScript-heavy sites, not just simple HTML pages.
How fresh are the answers?
As fresh as your last update. Refresh a single page or your whole site any time from the dashboard, and the changes show up shortly after.
What happens when it doesn't know?
Nothing gets invented. If your content doesn't cover the question closely enough, no answer is generated — the visitor just gets the fallback message you wrote.
Is my content isolated from other customers?
Yes. Every project's content and conversations are kept completely separate from every other customer's, and access is checked on every single request rather than assumed safe.
Which languages does it handle?
90+ languages. A visitor can ask a question in one language about a page written in another, and still get an accurate answer.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. Create an account, add your site, and add the chat widget to your pages — no card required. Paid plans raise how much content and how many conversations you get — see the pricing page for details.
How does this compare to other chatbot tools?
In short: a simple flat monthly limit instead of confusing credit systems, no “powered by” badge on any paid plan, and a free plan that never expires. We also publish honest, dated comparisons — including the parts where another tool might be the better fit. Read the comparisons →
Where can I put the chatbot?
On your website with one script tag, in your Shopify store as an app, and in Slack, where it answers when mentioned in a channel or messaged directly. You can be told about leads, tickets and unanswered questions by email, Telegram or a Slack channel. See the integrations →
Does it work with Slack?
Yes, on the Starter and Pro plans. It answers in the thread with the pages it used, you can point different channels at different projects, and a button under an unanswered question opens a support ticket. It does not hand a Slack thread to a person live. Read the Slack docs →
Can visitors reach a real person?
Yes. When the chatbot can't answer, it offers to open a support ticket, carrying the conversation with it. There's also a hosted support page for visitors who want to reach you directly — both land in the same dashboard inbox, on every plan. See how support works →
Do I still need Zendesk or Intercom for support?
For most teams, no. Tickets from several channels, an inbox and a board, reply-and-set-status in one click, shared canned replies, two-way email with delivery status, internal notes, roles and an audit trail are all built in and included on every plan. Live handoff on the website chat is built in too (a teammate takes a conversation over and replies in real time). It does not include ticket assignment, SLA timers or automations, so if your process depends on those, a dedicated helpdesk is still the better fit. See how support works →
